I'd been dreaming of this trip for almost 6 years...

Can't believe it had been almost 6 years since I last traveled outside Europe. My life had changed a lot since I last traveled to South East Asia, so this trip felt different too. I cannot quite put a finger on what was different: the smells and the colors or people and behaviors. Or was it just me? It surely was.

I love Thailand for its imperfection. For its authenticity. For its paradise beaches. For its Buddhist temples. For the spicy pad thai and the vegan tom yum.

I love the ocean that tastes like life. The disgusting parties on Khao San road that keep me up at night.

The havoc and the intrigue of the unpredictability always opening me up to something new.

Thanks you Thailand. I am grateful.
