What a turmutulous history, what a many faceted present.

I am walking along the Wall on a rainy December afternoon so many years after most of it was torn down. What a great idea to turn this symbol of oppression into an outdoor street art gallery. Other than the low hanging gray sky there is nothing oppressive about it now..

I feel an almost debilitating sadness about the fact that after saving the world from Hitler they turned Berlin into the center of the cold war power games. Are there ever any "good guys" in any war?

Will the world ever live as one?
