Home away from home

Lanzarote. A paradise lost in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. My first trip in 2023, an amazing experience of hiking with my cat, exploring this world together. The ocean. The mountains. The beauty of the nature.

The freedom.

As I am writing this, my inner critic is trying to make me slip into thinking that what I am writing is useless and not interesting. Which is a message to me that I should go through with this post.

I love traveling.

I grew up in a home that did not feel like home, in a country that did not feel like home and I do not have any emotional attachment to the place where I grew up or the people who were around. It used to make me feel lost, but now I am growing to realize that this is my superpower.

My home is wherever I am and herever my cat is. As I travel, I expand my notion of home. My home is everywhere. It is planet Earth.

And I belong here.

And I deeply care for my home.

It is soothing and comforting to be at home while on the road. That is one of the things I am deeply grateful for.
