Hello

A sleeper bus making its way to Hanoi from the Vietnamese northern province of Hà Giang. A madman talking loudly to himself in the front of the bus. A guy behind me insisisting on chatting. I am so tired I finally fall asleep regerdless.

Volunteering as a teacher of English in Vietnam was a life-changig experience for me. As sharply annoying and even somewhat pain inducing as it was, emerging in a culture so unlike mine triggered some valuable insights and opened my eyes to a miriad of things I had not even thought of before. I did not manage to remain a neutral observer which only worked out for the best: I started questioning so many thigs I had taken for granted.

This trip was a culmination of my love for travelling, learning foreign languages and discovering different cultures. Many things followed like moving to France to do my Master's degree in Plurilingualism and Crosscultural Communication. Or a dissaaponting attempt to study jazz at the Conservatory of Strasbourg. However, since that trip to Vietnam, I know my place in life, I know what I can do to fulfill my potential and to make a world a little better.

Thus the idea of LCM was born.

LCM is an educational project in languages, cultural awareness and intercultural communication where music plays an important role to allow cultural emmersion.

So let the journey begin.
